How do I use the overlays with the backgrounds?
Open the background jpg or gif file in your graphics software and open the
overlay file. Click the overlay file image and choose Select > All and Edit >
Copy. Click the background image and choose Edit > Paste. The overlay will
appear over the top of the background. Save the image as a jpg file and then
use it in PowerPoint as you would any other background.
How do I use the backgrounds in PowerPoint?
Launch PowerPoint and open the presentation to use the background with or
simply use the default blank presentation. Choose Format > Background and, from
the dropdown list underneath the Background Fill illustration, select Fill
Effects and then the picture tab. Click the Select Picture button and find and
select your background image. Click Insert and then Ok and Apply to all to
apply it to all slides in your presentation.
The slide background is dark and the text doesn't show very
well.
Over dark backgrounds it is best to use a light or white text. To do this,
select the text on the slide and choose a white font color from the Font List
on the toolbar.
To change the font color for all slides, check the resources list and download
and read the document called Working with Slide Masters. Full explanations are
included in that file.
I want my company logo on a PowerPoint background. Can you
make it for me?
Yes. We can create a PowerPoint design template or a background, if you prefer,
with your company logo on it. You may select a plain color background or one of
our images to go with your logo. Email us using the form on the Contact Us page
with details of what you want and we'll get back to you with a price and more
instructions.
Will you be adding more backgrounds in future?
Yes. We are adding new background collections all the time. If there is a
particular collection theme that you do not see in the list and that you would
like, use the contact form on the Contact Us page to tell us what you want and
we'll do our best to create it.
I have a background collection already, but I'd like
different text on the backgrounds, Can you do this?
Yes, we can customize a collection for you. Tell us what collection and what
words you want using the form on the Contact Us page and we'll price it for
you.
I want to use the PowerPoint backgrounds to illustrate my
company newsletter. Is this Ok?
Yes, provided you adhere to our Terms & Conditions which outline our copyright
restrictions, you can use the backgrounds as images for your newsletters and
other documents.
The background I have is darker than I would like it to be,
can I lighten it?
Yes. If you are handy with graphics software, open the jpg or gif image in your
graphics software and add a new layer filled with white color over the top of
the background. Adjust the opacity of the layer until you are happy with the
effect, save the background and then add it to your PowerPoint slide.
Alternately, buy one of our overlay packs and use an overlay instead. If the
image is a GIF format image, choose Image, Mode, RGB Color before you start.
